DAY 3
Start early to maximize your time at the Inner Harbor’ s two sciencefocused options: the National Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center. Both have several levels of amazing factfilled exhibits. At the Maryland Science Center, you can explore ancient dinosaurs, the solar system and the human body, or experiment with physics— plus so much more. Want to dive deep with sea animals? Head to the award-winning National Aquarium, where guests can hang with 20,000 creatures, walk the depths of the 225,000-gallon Shark Alley, experience a northern Australian river gorge habitat, and learn about dolphins in a live training exhibition.
After you’ ve had your fill of fish and physics, head outside to see the historic ships docked around the Inner Harbor. Take a tour of the U. S. S. Constellation, built in 1855 for the U. S. Navy and now holding court as the only surviving ship from the Civil War.

Nearby Federal Hill is home to another famed historic market— Cross Street Market, which dates to 1846. A huge renovation updated it in recent years, and it’ s now filled with trendy new vendors, such as Phubs for Vietnamese, alongside beloved stalwarts like Steve’ s Lunch, which has been around for more than 50 years.
Also in Federal Hill, get a look at the history of industrial work— which built Baltimore into the city it is today— at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, located in an 1860s oyster cannery. The museum includes hands-on exhibits like oyster shucking, plus recreations of factories and stores from bygone days. VB
