DAY 1
Take a deep dive into Maryland’ s cultural history with a trip to one of Baltimore’ s specialty museums. The Maryland Center for History and Culture is located in one of the city’ s oldest neighborhoods, Mount Vernon— so before you head inside, take a minute to admire the grand 19thcentury estates and the stately Washington Monument. Once you’ ve perused the area, head to the museum to see more than 1,000 objects that represent life in Maryland throughout history— including a replica of Francis Scott Key’ s Star-Spangled Banner manuscript( the original is safely stored in the museum’ s library).
