MATTHEW STEINBERG
DRAMA MAMA BOOKSHOP, FEDERAL HILL
After you’ ve made your very own screen, it’ s time to mosey over to Meander Art Bar. As Baltimore’ s first arts and crafts bar, it’ s the perfect place to continue communing with your inner artist over a cocktail and small bites. Bring your own materials or pick from one of the kits for purchase, which range from watercolor painting to beading. Meander also hosts classes and special events nearly every night of the week, so you can learn a new skill while connecting with other creatives.
DAY
3
CHOOSE YOUR OWN ART- VENTURE
On your last day in
Baltimore, you decide how to express yourself.
For those who want to roll up their sleeves once more, you’ ve got options. Try your hand at glassblowing with Corradetti Glassblowing Studio or McFadden Art Glass, unleash your inner writer at a Drama MaMa Bookshop journal-making class, or get an
introductory lesson in letterpress, screenprinting and risograph from Baltimore Print Studios.
For travelers who would rather support local artists than be one, Baltimore’ s boutiques carry plenty of artful goods. Check out the Made in Baltimore store at the Inner Harbor, which sells goods from dozens of local makers, including handmade lotions and scrubs, candles, baked goods, jewelry, fashions and more.
Before you say goodbye to Charm City, take a well-earned seat at Gertrude’ s Chesapeake Kitchen. The restaurant, situated alongside the Baltimore Museum of Art’ s Sculpture Garden, was included on Baltimore magazine’ s Best Restaurants 2025 list. Their seafood-forward menu takes the usual corner crab-shack fare and elevates it. Our recommendation? Order the hush puppies with apple butter and the cornmeal-crusted fried oysters with a side of applefennel slaw. It’ s just the elevated meal you deserve to cap off an inspiring, art-filled weekend in Baltimore. VB
