In 2019 we will
launch at least six
new destinations
MARTIN ALEXANDER GAUSS
Chief Executive Officer, airBaltic
Dear guests of airBaltic,
2019 will hopefully bring many joyful memories to each
and every one of you. We will make sure to do our part by
offering more flights to our growing network of destinations.
In 2019 we will launch at least six new destinations: from
Riga to Dublin, Stuttgart, and Lviv; and from Tallinn to
Malaga, Brussels, and Copenhagen.
This year we plan to receive another eight
Airbus A220-300 aircraft. By the end of the year, we will
already have 22 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, providing greater
comfort and more affordable tickets to our passengers.
Last month we were honoured as the Leading Latvian
Exporter by the DB Top 500 and received the Export
Champion award from Magnetic Latvia. Indeed, we are the
largest Latvian export brand, connecting both Latvia and
the Baltics to the world. By continuing our growth, we are
creating more highly skilled jobs in the region.
In 2018, we carried a record four million passengers.
Our airline has a strong and efficient hybrid business
model, loyal passengers, and dedicated employees. Riga
is the perfect main hub for our operations, and we will
also continue to further develop our network in Tallinn
and Vilnius.
For some, the beginning of a new year may come with
brand-new resolutions. If yours is to finally become a pilot
and have the best office view in the world, remember
that the airBaltic Pilot Academy is always seeking new
candidates. Its third group of students is beginning their
studies already this month, and later this year we plan
on receiving another three state-of-the-art Diamond
training aircraft.
Our team will continue to work hard in order to provide
an excellent and reliable service. Even though we will
continue to grow, our internal standards for on-time
performance, reliability, and customer service will stay at
a world-leading level.
Thank you for choosing the world’s most punctual airline,
and have a great trip!
Yours,
Martin Alexander Gauss
