Whale Watching
Whales swim by moving their
muscular tail up and down unlike
fish who swim by moving their tails
left and right. There are 80 species
of whales that have been identified
around the world, while 26 of them
have been recorded to be seen
around the sea of Sri Lanka. Some
of them are ; Blue whale, Humpback
whale, fin whale , Killer whale, Sperm
whale, Bryde’s whale , Souther n
Bottleneck whale, False killer whale,
Pygmy killer whale.The Blue whale
is the largest animal that has ever
existed on Earth and also the loudest
animal on Earth.
These gentle giants are very
acrobatic, some of their acrobatic
behaviors are;
Breaching: Jumping high out of the
water and then slapping the water
as they come back down.
