Professor Geoffrey Blainey has a long and distinguished
career in academic circles. For 20 years he was a professor
of economic history and then Ernest Scott Professor of History
at the University of Melbourne. He is the author of many books,
including The Tyranny of Distance and The Causes of War.

George Adams has almost 30 years experience as a film and
television producer in the UK and Australia. He has worked
in executive drama roles for the BBC, Carlton Television,
Columbia TriStar/Sony, Golden Square Pictures and Granada
UK. In 2012, he created and produced The Doctor Blake
Mysteries which has now completed its 5 th season.
