There are ample opportunities for our students to show off their academic talents throughout the school year ; however , one that has no problem standing out is the annual Regional Technology Fair hosted by Oconee Regional Educational Service Agency ( RESA ). The Regional Technology Fair is an academic competition where students in grades 3-12 compete in a variety of technology categories . The main goal is to challenge students to become leaders in a digital age . The rate of change in technological advancements is astronomical . We strive to provide our students with every advantage when it comes to preparing them to work

with the technological tools that will be driving business and industry in the 21st century .
Here locally , hundreds of students came out from schools in Baldwin , Bibb , Hancock , Jasper , Jones , Putnam , Monroe , Twiggs , Washington , and Wilkinson Counties . Despite the tough competition from all of the other schools that were attending from our Oconee RESA , students from the Baldwin County School District won big at the annual event .
The Regional Technology Fair brings the best STEM minds from all grade levels and from all over Central Georgia to highlight their technological prowess and compete against each other

public schools ,” said Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dr . Sharon Hunt-Simmons . “ We have been working tirelessly , not just instilling the concepts of STEAM into our classrooms but helping the students understand the importance of STEAM and the impact it has on their lives .
