I measure my success by two rare and real achievements, finding Love and Joy. I believe that once we have love and Joy all success is won. I found a love and Joy in Make-up. However, there was no smooth road to finding my Love; after pursuing lost dreams in Science at Secondary School. I finally switched over to do art in my final year of sixth form, because for very long it was a passion of mine. After I graduated, I went on to university where I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Accounts and Finance, which I have found, helps me to grow as a business person. I did not discover my passion for makeup until entering a beauty pageant and being crowned queen. I saw the depths of beauty throughout the journey of the pageant and I believe this is what inspired me to express my art in make-up. Ever since then, contours, eye shapes, lips, cheek bones, Skin tones and Colors excite me. To see the transformation in a person and the elation on their faces, that tells me it was a job well done. As I always say, I was once an artist on canvas but now I have found my new canvas on faces. On entering the Beauty industry, so many opportunities fell into my lap; which lead me to believe this is where I ought to be. So with the help and inspiration of friends and family, I started to build the Make-up business Deborah Ramdin MUA. The mission of my company is to enhance the beauty and confidence of my customers by transforming their appearance through professional artistry. Though it’s still in its infancy, the business has flourished and is making strides towards bigger goals that will take the beauty industry by storm! Thus far, it has been an exciting and intriguing journey and I embrace every opportunity
