About the Author
I have friends that are all about that wine and dine
life and are always there for a good shopping trip.
They keep me loving life and give me plenty to
do. I need the laughter, and so do my abs. Then a
few of my friends are about pushing me forward
and drive to thrive. It’s not fun to hear and no joke,
they are great at pissing me off. The bond is so
strong though, we always bounce back and better
than ever. Throughout life, I’ve found that the best
relationships are the ones where you can piss each
other off to no end, but still be just as close as before (if not closer).
At the end of the day, we have to balance the various relationship groups. You can’t just drink wine
and eat chocolate all your life. Well you could, but
that’s not recommended. You have to have some
fruit and veggies too! Here’s the fun part though,
you can mix the two by making chocolate covered
strawberries. Just because you have friends that
are about that hard to hear advice, doesn’t mean
they can’t be fun! So bring your friend groups
together sometimes. Go dance all night at a club
one week then have a big ole movie night the next.
Solid relationships can go along by the phrase: love
hard and live full.
Friendship balances are no different than anything else in your life. You have to balance your
fruits with your cake. You have to balance sleep
and work with dancing and lollygagging. You reap
what you sow, get out of it what you put in. And
like all of those things, it’s extraordinarily worth it.
I’m Katie, a senior in college studying psychology
and business administration, like a boss. I have
a blog and all that fun stuff. I’m also in the process of starting my own art and design business
named Valchara. I spend most of my time either
on Pinterest or out running, I’m training for the
Disney World marathon in January, because I’m
crazy. I also love my dog an abnormal amount,
and I’m ok with that.
