Just by starting getting your to
do lists in order may help you
feel less overwhelmed and more
productive! By just starting these
few simple steps, you can start
getting organized in all areas of
your life; work, school, home,
and other activities!
Here is an example of a to do list:
1. Check email
2. Respond to email
3. Call and schedule appoint-
ments for xyz doctors
4. Appt at xyz doctor office at 11
am(be sure to leave at 10:30
am)
5. Do the dishes
6. Vacuum the living room
7. Do a load of whites
8. Take kids to soccer practice
for 5 pm(leave at 4:30 pm)
9. Fill out school paperwork
This list is a very simple one, but
it was a slow start to becoming
more organized as well as pro-
ductive. As time moves on, you
will be able to incorporate more
into your lists. But I find that if
you start small and start feeling
like you got things done and feel
accomplished. It is kind of like
when you start an exercise pro-
gram. You don’t start going gung
ho and do an hour a day of high
cardio workouts do you? No!
When I started getting more and
more done on my to do lists, I
started to feel like victories were
in my future! My inner health
benefited from the outer health.
It has boosted my self-esteem,
confidence and overall calm! I
also got busier because let’s face
it when you are chaotic like I
was, you are lucky to accomplish
half of what is on your list.
of you and gets you to be more
productive. Two years ago, I sat
on the couch all day watching tv.
I let my dishes and laundry pile
up. Bills were not paid on time.
By just starting out with a small
to do list, I have come a long way.
I am now a radio internet DJ
as well as the human resources
admin for it, my house is clean, I
am a Direct Sales person, and I
will be starting school in the fall.
I would have not pictured my life
being this full and happy just two
short years ago!
My belief is that by just starting
to organize one thing at a time
whether it is your daily to do list
or the craft corner in your kitch-
en. It starts to lift a weight off
