B
elieve it or not, we all
experience low bank
accounts, and low moods,
some days. This can be really
really difficult, especially during
the hyped-up, over-socialized
holiday season. The days when
we look at our bank account
and want to cry because it’s
lower than we want or need it
to be can be truly devastating.
And the days when I looked into
mine and felt the racing heart
and sweaty palms of an outright
panic attack will never be far
enough away that I will forget
that feeling.
So, how do we feel abundant
when our bank accounts outright
SUCK?!?
How do we manifest abundance
of ANY KIND when we want to
throw ourselves off of a cliff, out
of a window, or into the nearest
minimum-wage paying job just
so we can get ahead?
It’s easier than you think. But it
doesn’t have to be all unicorns
and fluffy kittens and glit-
ter-bomb rainbows. In fact, it
doesn’t even require any badass
super-powers.
It only requires yourself.
The first thing to do is to truly
READ your account statements,
or your spending and receiving
ledger. If you aren’t keeping
track of these things, now is
the time to start. At the end of
each day, make a quick note in
a checkbook ledger or a small
notebook, or if you’re all fan-
cy-like, an excel document. Just
jot down everything that you
spent on what it was for ($6 for
convenience store coffee and a
cookie? Check! $12 for new nail
polish? Check!) This is ALSO the
place to add in every penny you
receive (nickel on the sidewalk!
Check! Penny in my coat pocket!
Check!) And, in the back or on a
separate column, every non-cur-
rency thing your receive. For ex-
ample, when someone at school
came to check on me after an
absence the other day, I wrote it
down every single time. That was
an ABUNDANCE of love and
care that I hadn’t even expected
to receive. I write down every
time someone holds the door,
hands me a pen at the bank, or
otherwise helps me out. That
gratitude translates into a bigger
bank account for sure. The more
I write down in a week, the big-
ger my bank account grows by.
