April Adams Pertuis is the founder and creator of LIGHTbeamers — a highly engaged community of women who are on a journey to tell their story . April uses her skills as a writer and video producer to teach others how to tap into their own personal story to shine a positive light in the world . Her philosophy is “ everyone has a story ” and she ’ s fascinated with getting to the Core of what that story is . April ’ s career spans more than 30 years as an award-winning journalist whose work has appeared on CBS Television , HGTV , Food Network , Huff Post , Elephant Journal and numerous private industries where she has interviewed thousands of people and crafted their story as a result . One of her favorite components of storytelling is piecing the puzzle together to craft a compelling , emotional and meaningful message that touches others . No matter what the business is , what the product is , what the service is — the heart of people is always what matters ! April leads retreats and workshops throughout the year to teach women how to tell their story in a more authentic way so they can reach more customers , attract new clients , grow their audience , and ultimately tap into their true , personal power .
Her motto is “ when we share our stories , we shine our light ” — and her goal is to have more women rise up and use their voice , and share more openly their journey so that it may inspire others to do the same . Stories are the woven fabric that build Community , and April is on a mission to grow a Community of LIGHTbeamers — sharing their stories and shining a light into the world .
