er, if you’re doing that then you need to remember that not all of your potential or current clients
want to watch 7 snaps of your kid singing unless
you’re some child singing teacher person. Maybe
keep it to like 1 or 2 in a row.
Instagram is housed in a widely used & already
mostly understood app. So if you’re trying to make
it VERY easy for your clients to see & follow all
your content, Instagram is a perfect all in one for
photos/videos & stories.
Instagram is a place where people like to show off
their best. Design their feeds a specific way, and
present their branding in a clear manner.
SO I fricking love watching those perfect brands
post stories, it lets you see behind the perfect or
how they achieve it. You can see the same behind
the brand stuff on Snapchat, but to be honest...
people don’t like following a ton of people on Snapchat. It bogs down their feed. Instagram is an easy
place to watch more people without messing up
your Snapchat groove.
Google.
What I will say is this: If you already use Snapchat
as a kickass part of your business & life, then keep
it and don’t be afraid to double post relative content to your Instagram stories. If you don’t already
rock the Snap, then the Social Media Universe has
given you another option that might be easier for
you to reap similar benefits.

Speaking of which, this makes Snapchat the better place for longer stories. This is majorly just my
opinion and only based on how I feel with both
apps at this moment. With Instagram being busy
with both the number of people in my feeds and
with there being content and work to do other than
the stories, I don’t have the patience for lengthy
stories. With Snapchat, I am more dedicated and
interested in the smaller number of stories I follow,
so I will watch a long story. This could all change
in a month, but I figured it still had to be said.
Instagram Stories is just plain better for local
businesses. There’s a way higher chance of locals
finding & following you on Instagram than on
Snapchat. Simply because you can be found on
Instagram thanks to hashtags & location/account
tags. There aren’t many easy ways for people to
find you on Snapchat without you putting forth the
effort to tell someone, adding your name to some
list, or using another app.
Now, I’m not going to dive into the actual app differences like filters, glitchiness, the fun neon pen,
stickers, and adding previously taken content...
you can find all the techy differences by searching
