your vision boards are supposed to be ever present
to remind you of your goals so here’s another alternative: I make most of mine on thick poster board
so I punch a couple of holes in one side then insert
binder rings and hang them all together ‘calendar
style’ on the wall.

Taking a more minimalist approach to how you
decorate your home office or work space will
doesn’t mean you have to put ALL your pretties
away, just give your brain a break from the constant distraction that is keeping you from reaching your best productivity level. Once you make a
change you’ll realize the legitimate effects clutter
has on your work and I guarantee it will motivate
you to tackle the rest of your house...but that’s an
article for another time.
Edit your desk swag at least once a month.
Pretty office paraphernalia can pile up fast.
Even I have a tough time saying no to a nice sparkly journal or three or seven but what I’m really
collecting is clutter.

Instead of creating a collages of family
photos to remind you why your are working
so hard, choose a couple group family photos and
hang those in nice frames on the wall.
While you are working on one particular
project or task, remove all other projects or
papers from your desk. Even if you are not directly
looking at the other papers, they will be in your
peripheral vision and therefore distract your mind
from the task at hand.
