If you work from home, carve out a space specifically for work and nothing else. This encourages productivity for the day and helps turn work mode off so you can feel relax at home after hours. CALL AN EXPERT Or, in the age of the Internet, do your research. Once in awhile, you have to step away from your hustle for a minute. Spend this time wisely. Take a break from work, but make it productive by researching competitors, attending a webinar, or reading online arti- cles. Gain a fresh perspective. Your work will be better for it later. GRAB YOUR SNEAKERS It’s 5 o’clock, what are you do- ing? Don’t move from one seated position at your desk to another on your couch. Fuel your life and mind by making the conscious de- cision to participate in an activity after work. Whether it’s exercis- ing, reading, going to dinner with friends, walking, or working on a DIY project, do something for you at the end of the day. CURL-UP UNDER A BLANKET Let me repeat a saying I’m sure you’ve heard before: you can’t fill from an empty cup. Bring your mind back to rest and go to sleep at a decent hour. Wrap yourself in your comforter, fluff your pillow, and allow for at least 6 hours of sleep.
