following
1. Where do you think
this turtle was born?
A.
B.
You see that snake up on the dune?
He’s been waiting there quite a while.
And over there along the shore —
A hungry crocodile!
My flippers will need to work hard,
To get past all this commotion,
But very soon, I’ll spend my time
Eating the crabs and shrimps in the ocean!
My shell will turn from gray to green
During my time spent in the sea.
I will migrate thousands of miles
The way I like best — no one else but me.
In a few years, when I grow up
I‘ll return to the shore.
And I’ll know just where I’m going
Because I’ve already been there before.
I will return to this beach where I hatched,
And here I’ll build my nest.
I’ll cover up my eggs with sand,
And wish all my little turtles the best
