Junior golf is growing . The U . S . Kids Golf Southeast Louisiana Tour recently expanded with the new name Gulf Coast . The momentum continued westward in 2016 with the formation of the Acadiana Tour and eastward with the Northwest Florida Tour .
The U . S . Kids Golf Tour is for children ages 5 to 14 . Age as of April 30 determines the age division for the Spring 2017 tours .
Boys and girls compete on six sets of tees based on age . Following the mission of U . S . Kids Golf in creating family interaction and memories for a lifetime , parents , grandparents and family friends may caddie .
