Several Champions Named on
Final Day of 2018 Randy Watkins
On the final day of play at the Randy Watkins Junior,
windy conditions were soon to provide a tough challenge
for junior golfers. Going into Round 2, Jake Kight only
held a 1-shot lead over Kye Meeks in Division A. Kight
ended up holding that lead and winning the Division,
and the overall Boys tournament, by 3 shots with a total
score of 141.
Both Meeks and Sam Lee ended up in a tie for second
place with a total of 144. For Division B, Connor Gee
posted a second round score of 72 to win the Division by
6 strokes with a total of 147.
Collins Trolio and Walker Wise would tie for second
place in Division B with a total score of 153. With a
6-shot lead going into the final round, Jacob Blanton
would continue his strong play, posting a solid 72 to
finish with a total of 147 to win Division C. The second
place finisher was Jackson Cook with a total of 159, and
Grayson Davis placed third with a 162 total score.
A tight finish in GIrls Division B, Katelynn Altese
would come out on top by 1 stroke with a combined score
of 160 over Chandler Grace Sinclair who finished at 161.
Third place in Division Girls B was Ella Cress with a total
score of 168. Emma Smithers would hold on to her lead
in Division Girls A, posting a total of 155 over 2 rounds
over second place finisher Sarah Johnson (158), and third
place finisher Kayla Starr (172).
The Champion in Boys Division D (9-Hole Division)
would be Carson Daniel with a total of 71. Right behind
him was Tucker Gutierrez (73) and John Markow (80).
In Boys Division E (9-Hole Division), first place was
Wright Taylor with a total of 78, second place was
Cameron Knight (87), and third place was William Ollie
Mohamed. Emerson Blair would prove to be the winner
in Girls Division D (9-Hole Division) with an overall score
of 77. She won over Harper Hinckley (83) who placed
second, and Natalie Blanton (92) who finished third.

Watkins, Thomas Watkins and all of the staff at Lake
Caroline for all their hard work and hospitality.

WSGA Senior Championship
In the Championship Flight, Anna Shultz continued
her dominant play shooting the lowest score of the
week, 71, to bring her total to 225 and win the overall
tournament. Jewell Malick won the First Flight with
a total score of 248 over Brenda (AR) Alexander who
finished at 250.
For the Second Flight, Pam Posey finished with a total
of 232 to win the flight by 6 strokes. Susan Stevens posted
a total score of 250 to win the Third Flight by 6 strokes
as well.
In the Fourth Flight, Eliza Robinson came out on top
with a total of 267 to win over Sha Carter, B.A. Needham,

and Suzanne Tinsley who all finished at 270. The winner
of the Fifth Flight was Penny Autenreith who scored a
total of 277 to win by one stroke over Paweena Bennett.
And for the Sixth Flight, Kathlyn Smith placed first with
a total 3-day score of 284.
The MGA thanked Reunion Golf and Country Club
