BREC Hosts Women ’ s Golf Day
June 6 is designated as National Women ’ s Golf Day , and BREC wants to play their part and host a few organized events for this special occasion . On June 4 , the Women ’ s Amateur Championship will be at Webb Memorial Golf Course . On June 3 , there will be a Women ’ s Golf Day at Webb Memorial Golf Course .
There will be a putting and short game clinic , vendors , and a mixer that evening . This will be a wonderful event for any women who are looking for a hobby or have an interest in golf . This will help develop the game and provide a place to purchase equipment made for women who play golf .
Martel , Preston and Vangeffen take three-pro
METAIRIE , LA – The Fifth Annual Gulf States PGA Bushnell / Sun Mountain Three Pro Scramble Championship presented by Yamaha and the Silver Slipper Casino Hotel named its Champions for 2017 at the Oaks Golf Club in Pass Christian , MS on Monday , April 10th .
Out of a record twenty teams totaling sixty players , this year ’ s winning team consisted of PGA Apprentice Allan Martel of Audubon Park Golf Course , PGA Professional Daniel Preston of the Island Country Club , and PGA Professional Paul VanGeffen of Audubon Park Golf Course .
Team Martel / Preston / VanGeffen won with a score of sixteen under fifty-six in a scorecard playoff over Host PGA Professional Russ Bloom , PGA Professional Kenny Hughes of Shell Landing Golf Club , and PGA Professional Jerry Covich of Shell Landing Golf Club .
Winning prizes through a blind draw or on the course consisted of : PGA Professional Obie Agbasi , PGA Profesional Wayne Fuselier , PGA Professional Steve Caldwell , PGA Professional Olly Thomson , PGA Professional David Marchand , PGA Apprentice Johnny Hargrave , PGA Apprentice Tyler Daniels , PGA Professional Blake Hatfield , PGA Professional Kyle Ramey , and PGA Professional Larry Griffin .
