mike ameen elected as LGA president
Mike Ameen, of
Shreveport, Louisiana,
has
been
elected
to serve a two-year
term as president of
the Louisiana Golf
Association (LGA). The
election took place at
the Association’s Annual
and Board of Directors
Meetings in Lafayette.
Ameen
previously
served on the LGA
Board of Directors from
2005 to 2012 and held
the position of President
from 2010 to 2012.
“The LGA is excited
to have Mike Ameen
once again serve as
President of our Association,” said LGA Executive
Director Logan Ray. “Mike has proven himself to be an
exceptional leader. His business acumen and forward-
thinking ability will be tremendous assets for us during
this time of transition and change in golf.”
Ameen is a member of two Louisiana Golf Association
Clubs, Southern Trace Country Club and Squire Creek

Country Club. He is Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer of O’Brien Resources, LLC and
a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana with a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
Ameen is a Certified Public Accountant and is a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Louisiana Society of CPAs. He
has over 35 years of experience in banking, financial
reporting, treasury and risk management.
Ameen currently sits on the board of several closely
held companies, and he is a past Board Member of
Centenary College of Louisiana as well as numerous
nonprofit organizations in the Shreveport-Bossier City
area.
