Already seeing progress at The Refuge:
At left, the par 4 second hole at the refuge now features a new
peninsula green complex which softens the original dogleg left
and adds 25 yards to the length of the hole. The new green
sits out on the corner of the lake, bringing water into play on
the approach shot with a bail out area and bunkers on the left.
At right, the old par 3 16th hole is now the new par 4 18th
hole. This new closing hole requires a tee shot to a saddled
fairway on the top of the hill with the approach looking back
down on the new 7,000 sq ft green. A new 15 acre lake
to the left and behind the green separates this hole from the
new $50 million Refuge hotel and conference center currently
under construction in the background..
