Tyree repeats as LWGA Junior Girls Champ Brooke Tyree, Sulphur, successfully defended her LWGA Junior Girls Championship title this week at Gray Plantation Golf Course. Tyree, a senior at Sulphur High, also earned medalist honors with a round of 68 on day one and then fired a 70 on the second day to win the Championship for a six-under par total of 138. Runner- up honors with a four-under 140 went to Alden Wallace, Shreveport, whose 67 on day two was the low round of the Championship. Third place was won by Aoife O’Donovan, Monroe and freshman at LSU, with a 150 total. The Gray Plantation course played at 5708 yards for the Championship.
