Make your eyes Pick some colourful paper; stencil little circles or the shapes shown here for the eyes. Use a punch or scissors to cut them out, then glue them on.

Craft your beak Cut out a triangle from cardboard or coloured paper. Fold it in half so it pops out like a real bird’ s beak. Glue the cut edges( not the folded) onto the middle of your mask.

Add the elastic Punch a small hole on each side of the mask. String elastic or ribbon through the holes so your mask fits around your head.( Ask an adult to help you measure.)

Glue the feathers on Stick your feathers onto the top and sides of the mask. Add lots and layer them up – the fluffier, the better!

Cut out your feathers Draw two sharp ovals on coloured paper. Fold the ovals in half, then carefully cut out your feature and then cut small notches along the edges. When you open it up, the oval will look feathery and fluffy – just like bird feathers.

Put it on & fly around! Your bird mask is ready! Pop it on, flap your wings and go on a colourful, feathery adventure.
