SC: What book is on your nightstand?
I’ve got any number of mysteries and nonfiction books queued up right now (most written by
friends from my local MWA chapter), including a book called A FILMOGRAPHY OF
CARTOMANCY AND TAROT 19402010 by Emily E. Auger. At the very top of the stack is a
justreceived proof of PURR M FOR MURDER by my friend, Toni LoTempio.
SC: What can we look forward to seeing from you in the future?
Fingers crossed for more feline fiction!
SC: Is there anything you’d like to share with your readers?
I’m sad to say that TWICE TOLD TAIL is the final entry in the Black Cat Bookshop Mystery
series. I’ve been gratified by the number of readers who are truly sad to see the last of Hamlet
the cat and his caretaker, bookstore owner Darla Pettistone. But our feline sleuth will continue
his snarky presence on Facebook for the foreseeable future.
BIO:
ALI BRANDON is the New York Times bestselling author of the Black Cat Bookshop Mystery
series from Berkley Prime Crime. This popular cozy series features Hamlet the cat and his
transplantedTexan caretaker, Darla Pettistone. Together, the pair work and sleuth out of
Darla’s Brooklynbased independent bookstore. Whenever a murderer is on the prowl, Hamlet
and Darla are ready to pounce—and they always manage to collar the killer! The sixth book
and final book in the series, TWICE TOLD TAIL, hit the shelves November 1. But, not to worry.
Ali hopes to bring other just as entertaining feline mysteries to her readers down the road.
A native Texan with a degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma, Ali now lives in
South Florida with her hubby, four dogs, and four very spoiled cats. She’s a member of Mystery
Writers of America, a member of the MWA Florida Chapter, and a member of the Cat Writers’
Association. You can find her and Hamlet at:
