Esme’s mother has been gone for seven
years now and her father is ready to move
past the grief and hurt. He wants to remarry
but Esme doesn’t believe her mother was
“lost at sea”. Something just doesn’t add up.
Esme finds a doctor’s note about her
mother’s headaches, delusions and talk of
other worlds.
Esme is on the beach and when she reaches
down for a shell she is taken into another
world. Daniel takes her under his wing so to
speak but all Esme is getting is more
questions not answers.
I normally don’t read stories like this but I
rather enjoyed the read. I was pleasantly
surprised. The writing was great and the
plot was interesting to have me wanting to
turn the pages.
