Interim Newsletter September 2016
Headteacher’s Column
It seems like a long time since I produced my first newsletter column a year ago. In
that article I spoke about my desire to review the school vision, values and aims to
ensure that we were bound by a common sense of purpose. Since then I have spent a
lot of time looking at what we are about as a school and working with staff to bring
about changes to support our aims. In June, the school hosted a Strategic Planning
Day to which we invited parents, pupils and employers to discuss with them our
progress against targets in 2015-16 and our plans going forward in 2016-17. One
piece of feedback that the school received at this event was that it would be good to share this information more
widely with parents. For this reason, we have decided to give over some of this newsletter to updating parents on
a selection – by no means exhaustive - of on-going developments. I do hope this will give you an additional
insight into the work of the school.
