INTRODUCTION
The BA (Hons) Fashion Accessory Design course at
Ravensbourne is a materials, technology and future driven
programme, offering a unique alternative to common accessory
design courses. Our students are given the opportunity to
explore and expand current perceptions of fashion accessory
design through industry-led and practice-based projects.
The 2017 graduates combine conceptual creativity and
commercial awareness with traditional making techniques
and innovative digital prototyping technologies. This cohort
have embraced emerging manufacturing methods including
3D printing, implementing this technology to produce bags,
eyewear, jewellery and footwear. Their work represents
the cutting edge of this diverse field of design.
Ravensbourne graduates are equipped with a wide set of
skills preparing them for industry, from creative research and
concept development, market research and entrepreneurship,
through to materials sourcing, technical CAD development
and production. Fashion Accessories is a growing and vibrant
market representing a rich opportunity for our graduates
now, and in the future.
