Please tell us more about working as an escort. Escorting is still extremely stigmatised. Being a sex worker can be difficult to talk about through society’s vision of the job and misconceptions. I personally have no issue talking about it and I often joke about work too. It definitely is NOT an easy career path. On one hand dealing with people is tough and on the other hand you get regular nega- tivity from people due to the line of work. The general misconception is that escorts are prostitutes/hookers. That is of course wrong. Yes there may be a sexual element to the job especially if you are a porn actor. Being a great escort means being able to engage and create a relaxing and safe environment. Like every job it has it’s good and bad sides. You must be on top of your mental, physical, sexual, emotional game every time you meet a client. You must have empathy to figure out how the person feels and what they might need and want. It can be an extremely taxing job so finding moments of so- lace and redeeming elements through every booking is essential. My number one goal is to finish every booking feeling happy and good about myself, just like on a porn set. Do you have suggestions for future clients? Simply acknowledge that even sex workers are human beings. Do not expect them to be machines. And also have respect for their time. To me it’s a 2-way street where both parties must respect each other. I have met so many amazing people through escort- ing. What do you think about OnlyFans? I’m happy people feel empowered to create their own content. I always admire anyone who shows entrepreneurial skills. That being said I found a lot of the content to be of poor quality. Many of the performers on OnlyFans are incredibly sexy and attractive so it does sadden me to see them in a less than flattering light. Even if this kind of platform does not last forever it has given an electroshock within the industry and I am excited to see the future of porn as I know it will always thrive which- ever form it takes. 129
