but let’s not forget
about our
hinterland
Since 2008 the people of Yarramalong have staged
the Yarramalong Valley Spring Festival as part of
the Australian Springtime Festival movement.
The Festival is aimed at
bringing the community
together and to introduce the
magnificent Central Coast
hinterland to the general
public while providing an
opportunity for community
groups within the valley to
raise funds for their causes.

Pastures field day and cattle
competition, Art shows, Cake
Bake offs, Orchid Show, Horse
Show and the Spring Show
are all part of our fun events
this spring.Our signature
events include the fabulous
scarecrow competition, check
out these amazing creations
as you take your family for a
drive along Yarramalong Road.
Another signature event is the
Spring Show at Jack Gear Oval
featuring fun family activities
including billy boiling, pony
rides and free jumping castle.
There is also the hilarious
wife carrying competition
(enter on the day, who will
be the local champs?), wood
chopping competition, food
and so much more. This is a
cash only event and entry is $5
per adult and accompanying
children are free.
This year’s Festival runs from
Saturday 26 th August to Sunday 10 th September
