WS + CARDS FOR THE RUNNING DICTATION,
CARDS FOR THE MEMORY GAME (ONE PILE FOR
A GROUP OF 4 STUDENTS)
cca 15-20 minutes
- T explains the rules of the running dictation:
- Ss are in pairs, they get a copy with food
idioms meanings+ there are cards with food
idioms all around the room
- the Ss have to take turn to remember the
idiom on a card and ´dictate' it to his/her partner
- when they have all the idioms written,
they have to match them with their meanings
cca 5 minutes
- Ss check the answers with another pair/in
bigger groups/with the T
cca 20-25 minutes
- Ss play the memory game (they have to match
the halves of the food idioms from the ´running
dictation´ activity and form a sentence with the
idiom to get a point, they work in groups of 4-6
(depends on the age/level, …)
