Help the teacher to prepare an activity or a whole lesson with an authentic
material with the help of this ready-to-use grid. Very often we bring authentic
materials from courses, but we do not know how to use them in a class. The
grid might help you. It definitely helped me.
For example, I used it to prepare a speaking activity ‘DESIGN YOUR POPULAR
SERIES EXHIBITION’ based on a leaflet for the Belfast ‘Games of Thrones’
touring exhibition. The leaflet had info on its two sides.
It depends on your choice.

TIME:
It depends on the individual teacher’s planning.
PREPARATION:
Have the grid printed or in a computer to be filled in.
Choose an authentic material you want to use in the lesson.
PROCEDURE:
1. Look at the grid and follow the individual steps.
At first, analyse the authentic material and your target group, than come up
with a task. After that, plan the stages of the activity / lesson.
* If you have a colleague to plan with, it is better, you will have more ideas.
