KONGRE BİLDİRİLERİ After I did the translation into Montenegrin, we decided to prepare the versions in Latin and Cyrillic letters, because both of them are used in parallel in Montenegro. Moreover, with the small intervention in expressions and dialect, the translated programme Ariann3 can be used in the former Serbo-Croatian language are. Unfortunately none exists in Montenegro yet, so I used some glossaries published in Serbian and Croatian languages.21 • Lack of archival terminology glossary in Montenegro, but also in our environment, in the former Serbo-Croatian language area. • Problem to find adequate word in Montenegrin for IT terms, to avoid widespread overuse of Anglicism in a computer language in Montenegro. 21 Microsoft’s “Computer Dictionary“, Belgrade 2003; Informatički rječnik za školu i dom. Engleski-hrvatski, Rijeka 2006; Also they were used: A Dictionary of Computing. (Certain parts of the texts in translated version were remained unchanged, i.e. in Italian language, despite of easiness for user of programme to automatically change language by copying of appropriate files to the programme installation. For example, many drop-down menus, some titles, etc. usually those ones for automatically insertions…) It is clear that the translation of the programme Arianna3 is very complex job and it should be successive teamwork of archivist or archivists – translators and programme creators, as well as their already experienced users – Italian archivists. However, this was a pioneering job in the field of archival profession not only in Montenegro but in the wider area and it drew the attention of many experts in archival profession, but also those ones from the filed of computer science.22 It should be emphasized that the translation of software AriannaWeb has not been done for now. We hope that it will be done through further cooperation between the organizations “Notar” and “Hyperborea”, when we find an adequate financial support. Applying of software Arianna3 and AriannaWeb on the archival material of the Kotor Historical Archives Since we provided partially the funds for the project of digitization of archival fonds in Kotor Historical Archives23 from the donor – Veneto Region, we engaged two companies from Italy as our collaborators, without which we could not perform the project. They are: already mentioned “Hyperborea” from Pisa and “M.I.D.A Informatica” from Bergamo.24 We have to underline that in Montenegro there are no similar companies or IT specialists capable of offering programmes and services in the field of digitization of cultural heritage, especially archival material. Thus, together with two Italian companies, the project of two NGOs from Kotor, named: “Digitization of the archival fond ‘Records of the extraordinary governors for Kotor and Albania during the Venetian Government’, and its web publishing”, started being implemented in September 2011. All Project stages were performed in both, i.e. in Montenegrin and Italian languages. During the Project implementation (First and Second phases25) the next activities have been being preformed: 22 Archivist Snežana Pejović gave a lecture on the Autumn Archival School in Trieste in November 2009, organized by the International Institute for Archival Scien 6RG&
