ABSTRACT
he research of the Otoman administration in Kosovo, until today was done in the political,
oriental and material context of influence. Period of development as process under the influence
of western Europe in the early 19th century stayed out of scientific interest.
Analysis of the conditions of urban and architectural development in the province between 1878 to
1912. in this study enabled through archival descriptive documents researched and brought the 2008th.
with the National Archives of Istanbul by a process that is facilitated by the Archives of Kosovo by
the author of this study. Presentation of original documents, translation, analysis and interpretation,
will also be published for the first time in this paper. Archival material that is presented in this paper
includes visual documentation and cartographic documents, photographs and sketches of architectural
designs of buildings across Kosovo.
