of cities that did not have high level of economical or urban development, like in the case of inner
towns. The results indicate that cities on periphery stayed in the level of settlements of lower level –
suburbia. It was determined by their bordering character and economic and demographic base of the
area.11 In spite of unfavorable circumstances that prevented full development of oriental cities, it could
not prevent the development of some other aspects of city life that were much influenced by the inner
streams of Bosnian eyelet. Some of those aspects are sacral component and institution of waqf, for
which we can find many important records from 16th and the beginning of 17th century in the General
Cadaster Directorate archive.12 At the same time, it is possible on the basics of those records to convey
