Enhancements to our programmes for 2026
Female Health Programme
Our Maternity Programme continues to provide comprehensive support for expecting mothers, with a strong focus on early intervention and holistic care.
In 2026, we’ re delighted to introduce an additional benefit of R1 100 for antenatal classes on Primary, BonPrime, and BonFit. This empowers members with expert guidance and ensures their little ones get the best possible start in life.
Synagis cover for pre-term babies
We’ re proud to announce that Synagis, a preventative treatment for serious RSV-related lung disease in pre-term infants, will now be covered across all options – excluding BonCap. This injectable medication delivers RSV-blocking antibodies immediately, offering vital protection during a vulnerable stage of development.
Contraceptives Benefit
Our contraceptives benefit remains available across all Bonitas options, with annual cover ranging from R1 270 to R2 050, depending on the selected plan. This benefit has been widely embraced, especially with the convenience of delivery through our courier pharmacy network.
To further enhance access, we’ re expanding the benefit to include the Bonitas Pharmacy Network, which will assist in the administration and dispensing of contraceptive injectables on Standard Select, BonPrime, Hospital Standard, BonEssential, BonEssential Select.
Back and Neck Programme
Building on the success of our Back and Neck Programme, we’ re excited to extend its scope in 2026 to include shoulder and knee pain treatment. This expansion adds another layer of care and support for our members and will be available on all options except BonCap.
