PEANUT BUTTER & OATS SMOOTHIE

This thick and creamy Peanut Butter Oatmeal Smoothie recipe is loaded with creamy peanut butter , old fashioned oats , bananas and milk to keep you full and satisfied all morning !
This recipe makes just enough for one serving , it ’ s the perfect portion size for a snack , breakfast or midday meal . But you can easily double it if you ’ re making smoothies for two .
Ingredients
• 1 / 4 cup of oats : Rolled oats or old-fashioned oats work best
• 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter : You can use other natural nut butters in place of the peanut butter if you prefer . Almond or cashew nut butter would both be delicious !
• 1 whole banana : Using frozen bananas is great as it keeps the smoothie extra thick
• 1 / 2 cup of full cream milk : You can replace this with a dairy-free alternative like almond milk , cashew milk , oat milk , or soy milk
Directions
Simply place all the ingredients in a blender , blend for 30 seconds ( or until smooth ) and stir . Blend again for another 30 to 60 seconds after stirring to ensure there are no chunks . Pour into a glass ( or a bowl ), garnish with banana slices , peanut butter drizzle and oats if desired . Serve immediately . ( This smoothie is best enjoyed fresh , but you can store leftovers in the fridge for a couple of hours if necessary .)
