Love your heart
Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women. It kills more women than all cancers combined. And, because women’ s symptoms can differ from those of men, they often put off getting help until it is too late. Now is the time to learn about your risk factors for heart disease, understand the symptoms and take action. It’ s never too late – or too early – to make your heart health a priority.
Don’ t miss a beat
The risk of a heart attack and stroke increases with age but heart disease can affect women of any age. While chest pain is a common symptom, women may also experience other symptoms such as shortness of breath, nausea, back pain or fatigue. It’ s important that you pay attention to the warning signs and seek immediate medical attention if you experience any symptoms of a heart attack or heart disease.
