REALISTIC HEALTH

GOALS for the year

As the new year began , many of us set ambitious health goals with the hope of transforming our lives . However , maintaining these goals throughout the year can prove to be challenging .
To ensure success , it ’ s essential to set realistic and achievable health goals .
1 . Start small and build gradually
One of the most common mistakes people make is setting overly ambitious goals , that are difficult to sustain . Instead , start with small , manageable changes . For example , if you want to improve your fitness , begin with a short daily walk and gradually increase the duration and intensity . Small , consistent steps lead to lasting habits .
3 . Focus on one goal at a time
Trying to change too many habits at once can be overwhelming and lead to burnout . Prioritise one health goal at a time and focus your efforts on achieving it . Once you ’ ve made progress , you can move on to the next goal . This approach increases your chances of success and helps you build confidence .
2 . Be specific and measurable
Vague goals like ‘ get healthier ’ or ‘ lose weight ’ are hard to track and achieve . Set specific and measurable goals . For instance , aim to ‘ lose 5 kilograms in three months ’ or ‘ exercise for 30 minutes , five times a week .’ Clear goals provide a roadmap and make it easier to monitor your progress .
