volunteer FOCUS Ambassador of the Month Are you interested in representing your business as an Ambassador? Visit www.bcschamber.org for program details and an Ambassador application or contact [email protected]. What a privilege to be honored as Ambassador of the Month for two months in a row. It is such a pleasure to be able to help celebrate new and existing business in our community. How great it is to work side by side with other dedicated ambassadors and community leaders who are a part of this vibrant growing business community. I moved to College Station 48 years ago Dave Ruesink as a Rural Sociologist where I started out B/CS Sister Cities teaching Sociology courses. After three years of teaching, I switched to the Texas Agricultural Extension Service (now TAMU AgriLife Extension) where I worked as a Community Development Specialist. This August my wife and I will celebrate our 55th anniversary. We have three children, one who is a firefighter for the CS Fire Department and the other two are in the Austin area. Being a Professor Emeritus allows more time to be part of Chamber committees and attend ribbon cuttings. In addition to being an Ambassador, I am able to work with several other organizations such as the B/CS Sister Cities, the College Station Noon Lions Club, the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Family Solutions, United Way, and as a STAR with the Arts Council. I also serve on the Texas Rural Leadership Program Board and am Executive Secretary for the Rural Church Network of the USA and Canada. great messa
