The season is over for the Diamondbacks, but the resentment toward the Dodgers lingers on. At least with General Manager Kevin Towers, who was still simmering over what he considered the Dodgers disrespectful conduct towards the D-backs. He said this week that his pitchers should have retaliated. And he expects them to next season.
HIs inflammatory words may have had little impact with the Dodgers —after they're involved in a busy postseason.
But it made for good column fodder for the LA Times' Bill PLaschke between playoff series. " When Dodgers are the topic, Diamondbacks need to stuff a towel in it," read the online headline on his column. PLaschke wrote that Towers should be fined for his words.
