1.Please tell me a little about yourself? Who is Mthulisi Patrick?
I am a Father, A&R Manager, co-label owner of Peng Africa, dj on Afrika's Calling www.qhradio.nl, Artist Manager and Customer Relations Manager for Volkswagen.
2.When did your career start?
Gees.. I started in 1996, was just a deejay then.
2.1How did you get your start in the music business?
My first start was managing an Afro-pop group Afrika Revenge, when I moved to the
UK I linked up with Mzilikazi wa Afrika aka Mzee… I’d say pretty much he gave me my first break.. he gave me the realms to run his label Bomba Recordz.
2.2 How had the internet changed your relationship with and to music and the industry?
I guess the internet has helped in the sense that we’ve been able to link with different people in the industry from all corners of life. A lot more people have come to know about the music we do.
3. Which countries have you played in and which is your favorite?
I’ve mainly played in the UK, the deejaying side of things has been on the back bench coz my focus has been on running the label… I intend though to be back on it soon… first stop is South Africa, I would love to drop a massive set there..
4. What is the key ingredient in a track according to you? breakdown? Style of production? Bassline?
Hmmm! It depends I suppose on who you are targeting…some music is
