The KRK Rokit5G2 takes issue with being considered the baby of KRK's Rokit family of active studio monitors. The 5G2 sports a 5" glass-aramid-composite cone woofer (in KRK signature yellow, of course) and is bi-amped with 45 watts. For those who record in multiple locations, the Rokit5G2's ultra-portability gives you a definite advantage. However, if your monitoring requirements are of the full-range variety, add a KRK10S subwoofer; you'll get low-end extension to 34Hz and impressive dynamic range.
The KRK Rokit5G2 serves up a stable, highly detailed stereo image, courtesy of several G2 design enhancements working together. A redesigned front baffle virtually eliminates diffraction distortion, while the 5G2's neodymium soft-dome tweeter is recessed into a waveguide that provides optimal high-frequency pattern control. A generous complement of inputs (XLR, 1/4", RCA), along with an input trim, ensures optimal gain structure at any monitoring volume.
