RAISING THE BAR ON
RECRUITMENT
New recruitment agency KMS Partners
is looking to shake up the North-East
recruitment industry by setting new
standards while providing a unique client
offering.
KMS Partners sees experienced
recruitment specialists Melissa Thompson
and Gemma Holmes join forces with Keith
Miller, managing director of Middlesbroughbased Ecco Finishing Supplies, 2015 winners
of the North-East Export Team of the Year.
Initially based in County Durham but
with plans to open offices on Teesside
and Tyneside, KMS Partners specialise in
recruiting for the manufacturing, production,
engineering, blasting and painting, retail,
logistics and supply chain sectors across the
North-east.
Having already sealed several local
contracts, KMS aims to be a beacon within
an industry its partners believe too often
suffers from a poor image and reputation.
“Recruitment should not be difficult,” says
managing director Melissa.
“It’s about working with our clients to
understand that attracting the best staff is
about so much more than the job description.
“It’s about the organisational culture, what
makes the business a great place to work,
where the company aspires to be and the
journey it will take to get there.
“Hand in hand with this goes the
candidate’s current skills but also what
excites them, drives them, motivates them
to go to work and love their job, as well as
where they want their career to take them.
“Once we can understand all of this we
can then go to work connecting the right
people with the right jobs.”
KMS believe their own policy of
transparent fees and contracts makes them
unique within the North-East recruitment
sector.
They will share the risk with their clients
because 50% of their fee will only be payable
if all parties remain happy when the individual
has been in post for six months.
“We’re so committed to the provision of
a quality service and the development of
long-term relationships that we have built our
pricing around this,” adds Melissa.
“Our fee structure ensures that we share
the risks with our clients and candidates. We
are not here to make a quick fee.
“We believe in doing the right thing for our
candidates and clients as well as for our own
business. KMS are all about the long-term
relationship, proving ourselves as trusted
advisors to the people we work with.”
