A Brand NEW YOU Bringing Aycliffe Business Park Together | 3 HD Brows Make Up by HD Hair Rehab London Cloud Nine WELCOME Tangle Teezer Beauty Works Halo FOREWORD By Kerina Clark & more Welcome to the 18th edition of Aycliffe Today Business for September-October 2015. at Lox of Love I’m delighted to be writing the guest foreword for the issue which includes details about the second annual Make Your Mark business awards event. Hair Extension Specialists Beauty Room Last year’s inaugural Make Your Mark was a huge success; it was well attended and everyone had a great time. Hair Salon Hair Extensions from £130 Plans for this year’s event in November are well underway and I’m confident it will be bigger and even better than 2014! You can read more about Make Your Mark from Pamela Petty on pages 18-19. Of course, the main aim of Make Your Mark is to celebrate the successes of Aycliffe Business Park companies, and at the moment we have plenty to get excited about. 01325 327362 loxoflove.co.uk Unit 6, Evans Business Centre Durham Way South, Aycliffe Bus. Park Newton Aycliffe, DL5 6ZF welcoming vibrant inspiring These continue to be exciting times. As Hitachi Rail Europe’s new train-making factory opens its doors, construction has started on the new nearby South Durham University Technical College (UTC) - our very own engineering and advanced manufacturing Centre of Excellence. As you drive or walk around other areas of the park, it’s encouraging to see other developments ongoing, buildings rising from the ground and once empty units starting to fill. The confidence and feel-good buzz of Aycliffe Business Park is, I think, exuded in this magazine. It’s full of positive news and continues to make for great reading. In this issue alone, there are interesting stories with Gestamp Tallent, OneGym, AS Training, Stiller Warehousing and Distribution and Whitehead & Low Solicitors, while we also hear from new arrivals Major Recruitment. There are other interesting features with Premo Fabrications and Gregg Little Testing Centre and, of course, we have the fabulous story of the Aycliffe Angels returning to the Royal Ordnance Factory - ROF 59 - on Durham Way South. Working in partnership GEM operates and promotes a partnership working philosophy, which means taking responsibility for our clients’ recruitment and manpower challenges in full, not cherry picking the easy-to-fill roles.
