Evans Easyspace is based on Durham Way South on Aycliffe Business Park, and its Business Centre offers a mixture of stand-alone units or workshops ranging from 300 sq. feet to 2,000 sq. feet that can be used for a variety of purposes. The Incubation Centre offers fully serviced offices ranging from 142 sq. feet to 1250 sq. feet and also offers meeting rooms, conference facilities, hot desks and virtual offices. Centre Manager Vanessa Wood said: “We try to find offices and workshops to suit every type of business and we will do whatever we can to make it easier for the people who run them. “My role is very much to facilitate the process and help them as much as I can. It’s very motivating to help clients in the setting up of their new business and if I can make the path that bit easier for them I will. ” Evans Easyspace took up residence on the park in 2006 and positive signs of progression have clearly been seen and continue to grow, as occupancy currently stands at 85% in the Incubation Centre and 90% in the Business Centre. Vanessa said: “There has been quite a number of people who have started a new business and at the moment in the Business Centre about 60% are new start-ups. “Quite a few clients are starting new specialisms and we currently have a variety of businesses from a drum maker to a venison and game supplier to a camper van converter. “It’s great to see new and interesting businesses coming forward and to give them their first step forward; it’s very rewarding to have helped them on their way. ” For new businesses Evans Easyspace currently has a fantastic offer available which allows the new occupier a 50% reduction on their rent for the first three months to give them the best possible start in their new venture. They also have very reasonable rates for meeting rooms starting at just £13 per hour for non-clients and £11 for existing clients and the conference room rates start at just £15 for nonclients and £13 for occupants, with attractive daily packages available too. “We have straight forward terms, said Vanessa. ” “We don’t issue leases that people are tied to for years we work with rental licenses which are much easier to use and client friendly. “One of the most important things to me is meeting with business owners to be able to explain how we can help, whether it is an existing or new business I like to take the time to find out more about it and how we can offer a package to suit them and their budget. “The Aycliffe Business Park forum has been a great way to do this and I would encourage any
