Contracts will complete this month
on a deal that will bring a well-known
commercial site back into use, following a
deal brokered by Sanderson Weatherall on
behalf of administrator KPMG.
Horndale Business Centre, the former
Holiways garage site in Newton Aycliffe
has been sold to Yorkshire-based property
development company, Prestige Car Direct
Properties.
The Bradford-based property development
company plans to break up the 27

site into a variety of showrooms, offices,
workshops and display land, with premises
to be available to let ranging from 1,079 sq
ft to the full 27
,501 sq ft building.
Jonathan Simpson (pictured at the site),
partner at Sanderson Weatherall in the
Tees Valley, has facilitated the sale and will
be marketing the site going forward.
He said: “This site is ideal for a variety of
uses subject to planning including such
uses as a car showroom, trade counter,
gym, offices, workshops, storage and
more. It is very versatile building and lends
itself well to a carve up.
“Aycliffe Business Park continues to
go from strength to strength with the
re-emergence of the building offering
something a little bit different to the
estate, particularly where the majority of
recent take up has been of industrial and
office space.
“We are confident that there will be a
lot of interest in the Horndale Business
Centre.
