Bringing Aycliffe Business Park Together | 13 AYCLIFFE COMPANY FLYING HIGH WITH HEATHROW DEAL A County Durham engineering services company is flying high after landing a quarter of a million pound contract with Heathrow Airport in London. IES – Inspection and Engineering Services – of Evans Business Centre on the business park, is working on the new Terminal 2a and 2b and the Terminal 3 integrated baggage centre. Director Trevor Forsyth said the contract is worth ‘close to £250,000’ to the company. “It is an amazing project, with which we have been delighted to have been involved, he said. ” “The Terminals are fantastic, with underground tunnels running for miles and miles, big enough to drive a truck through. ” The company, which was formed three years ago, has been responsible for the all the non-destructive weld testing at the terminals, working with Watson Steel of Lancashire, which is a crucial part of the building and development process. other projects all over the world, including Singapore, Australia, Ireland and Germany, as well as most parts of the UK.
