New opportunities for Newton Aycliffe businesses ...
Hello and welcome to the 27th issue of Aycliffe Today Business .
In this edition you can read about Aycliffe Business Park ’ s hugely-successful Mark Your Mark awards . In its third year , and with the largest attendance so far , the awards night was an excellent reflection on the many successful companies and talented people who are based on the park .
Aycliffe Business Park is home to a broad range of companies from international household names through innovative medium size enterprises to a vast range of exciting smaller companies . Together , they provide a diverse range of skills , services , support and products helping boost employment in the region .
As well as recognising the businesses and people on the park , Make Your Mark also gave us an opportunity to hear from two inspiring highprofile entrepreneurs Peter Wilcock and Andy Preston , each with their own fascinating story and message .
The memorable evening ended with recognising Councillor John Clare as “ Aycliffe Ambassador ” for his tireless work support Aycliffe and the business park .
Being relatively new to the park , I particularly enjoy the sense of community here . The willingness of companies to cooperate , share information and opportunities is a real positive and not one I have seen in other areas .
AYCLIFFE TODAY BUSINESS
Aycliffe Today Business is Newton Aycliffe ’ s only business publication , which is mailed exclusively to every company on Aycliffe Business Park .
Launched in November 2012 , we provide firms with a unique platform to tell everyone about their services and success stories in our prestigious , high-quality publication .
The existing networking events are a perfect opportunity to get to know others on the park , share ideas , pick up information on the latest developments on the park and hear from external speakers .
The recently launched ‘ On The Map ’ initiative provides the opportunity for all businesses located here to provide their details into a searchable database on the soon to be launched new website . Improving the awareness of your business and the service you provide can only be positive . Please take the time to register your information .
We certainly live in interesting times , with Brexit looming and the increasingly negative economic indicators that need to be addressed . But for now , whilst being mindful of the future , please take some time to celebrate the fantastic skills of the companies and people working on the park , and read the news about a few of the innovative companies that make up this vibrant and welcoming business park community .
It is our positive approach to the challenges ahead that will ensure we remain a successful and growing park for the benefit of all .
