AAA Caring
Caretaker
agrees deal with
Finchale Group
A
Newton Aycliffe firm is hoping to
expand after a agreeing a new
partnership with a leading Durham-
based training provider.
AAA Caring Caretaker, based on the
business park, has linked up with the
Finchale Group, formally known as Finchale
College, which has an established reputation
in the training of veterans in the North-East.
Both organisations employ veterans, and
say their new agreement will enable them to
draw on each other's strengths to grow.
Richard H Tucker MBE, managing director
of Caring Caretaker, said: “This is an exciting
opportunity for us to grow significantly over
the next few years.
“This partnership will enable our company
to engage in higher level contracts, as The
Finchale Group will provide those highly
sought after skills in bid writing, while they
also have significant training facilities to
enable those individuals chosen to be ready
to start work.

AAA Caring Caretaker also works for
the NHS trusts in the Durham, Tees & Esk Valleys along with enjoying a partnership
with LandMarc Solutions, one of the
approved Defence Contractors and the
Defence Infrastructure Organisation, and is
now seeking to develop its client base with
neighbours on Aycliffe Business Park who are

KFC drive thru
planned for
finger lickin’
Aycliffe site
A
KFC drive thru is planned for a
major new development in Newton
Aycliffe.
Plans for the £140m Forrest Park
development on Aycliffe Business Park, close
to the services just off the A1 (M), are due to
progress in 2020 after the plans were given
outline planning permission last summer.
Since then, the proposals – which are on
the Durham County Council planning portal –
have been amended slightly to include a new
petrol filling station, small retail units and a
KFC drive thru restaurant (which might look
similar to the image right) by Euro Garages.
That development will be next to the
60-bed hotel and pub development at the
‘front plot’ of the Forrest Park – and work is
expected to start within months.
