Financial incentives
Getting enthusiastic young people working for your company couldn’ t be easier.
Employers can access funding through DurhamWorks to support unemployed 16 to 24-year-olds into apprenticeships or employment.
This ranges from a small amount to support travel or lunches through to larger financial wage incentives up to the value of £ 3,000, in the form of a Learning, Working, Earning Grant.
The grant is available to small to medium enterprises to help them create opportunities for young people and can be used to fund the cost of a salary or to purchase equipment, clothing, uniform or tools to support the young person.
Our DurhamWorks business advisors are on hand to support you in making an application, guiding you through the process step-by-step and identifying any other available support.

Managing the recruitment process: DurhamWorks can take the burden of searching for the right person from you, pre-screening candidates and supporting you through a successful interview process. Thanks to their tailored approach, they have a strong track record of finding compatible matches.
Training support: DurhamWorks supports companies through the whole process of training young people, helping to identify and resource training requirements.
